... GETTING CLOSER ...

The final images- the moon pendant, Princess Taniu with her golden hair, and a warmer autumnal tinge to the landscape. Many thanks to photographer Ian for amazing work!

The lettering is a very crude attempt by me- ultimately it will be left to designer Kate to work on the layout, typography and manipulation of all the elements.

However- you still have a chance to win one of the very first copies of the new edition of Bride of the Spear- by leaving a comment on this blog, or on Trifolium Books' or Kathleen Herbert's Facebook page.

I'd be particularly interested to hear what potential readers have to say about the moon pendant, since I made it many years ago for Kathleen- to celebrate the original publication of the trilogy.

  1. Connie, the moon pendant to me shouts 'triple goddess' and symbolises (again for me) passing through each stage and wholeness.

My tbr pile is huge so if I won I would ask if I could do a giveaway on my blog. Not that I don't want to read it but it could be longer than a year on the pile ...

    Sounds a fab story.

  2. Many thanks for that Shaz- I made the pendant many years ago now, and it has come back to me through Kathleen's niece. I am so glad it says all that I meant it to say!
It would be nice to do a give away on your blog anyway! How about it? It is indeed a wonderful story, very dark in places but with sudden rays of golden light, which make you catch your breath. I want as many people to read it as possible!

  3. I like the moon pendant. I wondered if you would find a place for it when you posted the previous cover mock-up, and am pleased to see it back!

  4. The moon pendant is awesome. I am getting inspired just looking at it. The background and detail in the picture are superb. I am not a huge fan of the color and fonts that the writing is in. It just is hard to read in the fonts and colors.
